First kite lesson

The first proper lesson. Theory in the morning, beach in the afternoon if the wind shows up. Nobody rides on day one. The job is to fly the kite without parking it in the sand, find the edges of the wind window, and not embarrass myself in front of an instructor who has watched a thousand beginners do exactly that. I will sunburn the one patch I forgot.

This is the before. What the wind actually did, and how often I dropped the kite, lands here once the lesson is over.
